Three reliability signals
A CCTV system is only as reliable as your ability to notice degradation in time. LanSeMo watches three things: camera availability, stream quality and archive health.
- Availability. The camera is online, the stream is running, the device responds.
- Quality. No frame loss, time drift or bitrate degradation.
- Archive. Recording is active, depth meets the requirement, disks are healthy.
Why “camera online” is not enough
A camera can respond to ping while not recording: a full disk, incorrect time, a corrupted stream or a disabled schedule. Monitoring must verify the presence of usable footage, not just connectivity.
How monitoring is built
- Inventory: all cameras, recorders and channels are linked to the facility.
- Baseline profile: normal metrics are set for each device.
- Metrics collection: availability, bitrate, frame loss, free space, time.
- Alert rules: critical events are escalated, the rest go into a report.
- Response: a work order is created automatically and the result is recorded with photos.
Benefits of planned maintenance
When faults are detected early, repairs become planned rather than emergency. This lowers the total cost of ownership and reduces the risk of losing critical footage.
